#1 1 of A Flower a Day, Winns Wellness Mission

We are behind on posting and sharing the 25 floral-focused images painted to cheer and offer tribute to my brother in what turned out to be his last days. Once I was able to return to the US to be with family, thing got a bit crazy, with long days at the hospital plus approx 2-3 hours driving most days to Cedars Sinai in LA from South Orange County.   I definitely got behind on my painting, nevermind my postings. Inspiration and cheer was tough to muster as I watched my brother, once bigger than life and braver than most, slowly and painfully wilt away.  Regardless of my fatigue or his state, I’d made a promise to myself and him that I would give a flower for everyday that he lay there.. until he came home, but home was NOT to be IN his lovely Bakersfield ranch style, but home to our heavenly father instead.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
